Gobot can work on all websites. Follow the steps below to get Gobot running on your Blogger site quickly in two steps.
- Create a chatbot
The first step is to create your bot and retrieve its embed code. In Gobot, after clicking Publish and then Instal Gobot, you click Copy to clipboard to copy your embed code. See the section focused on publishing of this Gobot guide if you require step-by-step instructions.
- Paste embed code into your Blogger site
The second step is to add the Gobot embed code you just copied to your Blogger site - the footer of your site when possible.
You can add OptinMonster’s code anywhere in the html template file for your site or page.
We suggest following Blogger's latest instructions for adding code into your Blogger site. Blogger’s guide shows you how to add code to all the pages on your site or to a single page.
Head over to Blogger.com and login into your account. From the main screen, you can right click the downward arrow near the View blog button and click template.
Next, click Edit HTML under your “Live on Blog”.
On this next page, scroll down until you see the closing </body> tag. Paste the Gobot embed code you previously copied here.
Remember to add your Gobot embed code to every template page on your website that you want to load Gobot.
Your Gobot is now officially connected to Blogger! Go back to the Gobot tab in your browser, click on one of the pre-built bots in the left hand panel (chosen for you based on the goal you indicated in the signup process) or script your bot from scratch, and then click Publish and make live. Next time you visit your Blogger site your new bot will welcome you!
